9–11 October 2026
The Australiana Society’s National President and Tasmanian Committee have organised a special weekend program based in Hobart and Tasmania’s East Coast from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October.
The tour is a reprise of the final weekend of the sold-out National tour in March 2026. Tasmania’s East Coast features early properties, away from the Midlands Highway tourist route and rarely, if ever, open to the public.
The properties will include some with connections with the early whaling industry, some with original contents, and others that reflect Tasmania’s European settlement history, architecture, interior and landscape design, building technology and, of course, connections with Britain and south-east Asia.
Cost
$850 per person, twin share or double. Single: $950.
The cost includes all coach travel, entrance fees, one night’s double or single occupancy accommodation on the East Coast, two dinners, two lunches, one breakfast and morning or afternoon teas as required.
Not included: Dinner on Friday night, Hobart accommodation, one breakfast and flights.
The pickup and drop-off location will be the Ibis Styles at 173 Macquarie Street, Hobart. A booking link for the Ibis Styles with discount deals will be provided when your payment is confirmed.
